While the Aspire Registry policies require a diploma to verify high school education or official transcripts to verify higher education, we understand that extenuating circumstances may prevent you from obtaining these necessary documents. If you cannot request copies of your education documents due to a natural/human-caused disaster or school closure, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible.
Natural or Human-Caused Disasters
Once we know more about your situation, our team will continue reviewing the verifiable documentation you have submitted; your missing high school or higher education degree will remain listed as “Self-Reported” on your Aspire Profile.
Please note that in some cases, your education records may need to be verified through The Aspire Registry as mandated by a licensing body or to meet specific criteria for quality initiatives. In those instances, we recommend contacting your licensing agency or entity requiring this verified information to learn more about any alternative options available to you.
High School Closure
Institutions of Higher Education Closure
When schools close, the generally accepted practice is for the school to make arrangements with the state-licensing agency to store their records. If you are trying to find your academic records from a closed school, you should contact the state licensing agency in the state in which the school was located to ask whether the state made arrangements to store the records. Please note that there are different agencies for secondary and higher education.
