If you are a program director that provides training to your staff, you could be eligible to earn the Training and Technical Assistance Professional Credential - Professional Development Specialist designation (T-TAP PDS).
To be eligible, you need to have the following:
- A current trainer profile in The Aspire Registry. (If you already have an Aspire profile, log in, click Manage Memberships, Select the box next to Register as a Trainer to enter information about the training you provide and any trainer qualifications you may have).
- A Career Ladder Level 5A or higher.
- At least 12 credits from an accredited higher education institution in either Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Youth Development, or School Age Care.
- Two years of documented professional experience working directly with children and families.
If you meet these requirements, you can start by submitting an Intent to Apply form on the New York Association for the Education of Young Children (NYAEYC) website.
