Here are some common issues and solutions when setting up an Aspire Registry account or logging into the system.
- You attempt to create an account but don't have a social security number.
Aspire asks individuals to provide the last five digits of their social security number to help confirm their identity if they ever need help with their profile. This policy is in place to ensure any sensitive information within the Aspire Registry stays safe and secure.
If you do not have a social security number, you can enter the last five digits of an ITIN number. If you do not have an ITIN number, please contact us at info@nyworksforchildren.org for assistance.
- You create an account and receive a "Verify your email" email from Aspire. However, when you click the Verify Email button, you see this message:
This means that an account with that email has already been created and verified in the system. If you remember your password, click Login. If you forgot your password and want to reset it, click Forgot Password.
Please do not create a new account. If you do not remember creating your account or have any questions about logging in, contact us at info@nyworksforchildren.org or (646) 664-8316.
- You create an account and you see this message:
This means that an account was created that matches your birthdate and social security number. It could be that you already created an account with a different email. Please DO NOT try to bypass the system by entering a different birthdate or social security number. We use this information to confirm your identity. Contact us at info@nyworksforchildren.org or (646) 664-8316 and we can help you regain access.
- When trying to set or reset your password, you receive this error message:
Rest assured, this does not mean your Aspire account has been affected. Your profile information remains safe and secure.
This notification indicates that the password you entered has been flagged as compromised on another website. To resolve this, select a new password that has not been used on any other site.
- When trying to log in, you receive this error message:
First, make sure you are using the email and password you created specifically for the Aspire Registry website.
Then, double check that you have spelled your email address and password correctly.
If you are 100% sure that you are using the correct email and the correct password, try clearing your browser's cookies/cache to see if this resolves the problem. Here are some helpful instructions on how to do so depending on the web browser you are using:
- When you log into your account you usually see a Manage Profiles button; however, depending on where you are in your application, you may see a different button.
Continue Application - this means that you started the process but exited before finishing. All your progress will be saved and you can pick-up where you left off.
Membership Alerts - this means that you have submitted your application and cannot make any additional edits at this time. Clicking on this button will show you the status of your application.
