We've created the Training of Trainer(s) (TOT) Curriculum Approval Process to ensure that any trainers in the Aspire Registry are gaining the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality professional development to early learning professionals in New York State.
It’s important to note that only training organizations or institutions specializing in curriculum development and/or professional preparation can submit their TOT curriculum for review to The Aspire Registry.
The following information will help ensure a smooth TOT Curriculum Approval Process:
Curriculum Developers must complete the following:
Step 1: Submit a Training of Trainer (TOT) Curriculum Approval form, including supporting documentation.
Step 2: Upon approval, enter the course into The Aspire Registry; the Professional Development Quality Assurance team will verify applicable qualifications regarding Trainer Endorsements, Course Tags, and/or Educational Incentive Program (EIP) scholarship eligibility.
Step 3: Before the training takes place, assign the appropriate trainer(s) to the respective sessions in The Aspire Registry, schedule the event, enter the pre-approved course to ensure it’s accessible to trainers, and send the course information to PDP.
Step 4: Following the TOT session, provide the Aspire Course ID number for official training, send the list of endorsed trainers to The Aspire Registry and PDP, and add approved trainers to the course.
Endorsed Trainers must complete the following:
Step 1: Schedule pre-approved training in The Aspire Registry at least one week in advance.
Step 2: Following the training, confirm the attendees via The Aspire Registry mobile app or manually enter the attendees into the event roster.
Step 3: Upload the attendance sign-in sheet to the event.
